Do you have an old manuscript tucked away in your cupboard and are not sure where to head next?  Would you like help with your manuscript?  Would you like help with your writing? Are you interested in writing workshops?

Would you like to know:

  •             about publishing, for example where to find them, what they expect?

  •             where to find an agent?

  •             where your work can be assessed, proof read, edited?

All of these questions and more can be answered by the experienced members of the North West Branch of the FAW.  We aim to be of service to all parts of the North, North West, Circular Head and the West Coast of Tasmania.

The branch currently meets at the Catholic Community Centre, Leven Street, Ulverstone at 2 pm on the second Wednesday of each month and after daylight saving on the second Wednesday at 7pm. For further details see news page. A small newsletter is posted to members detailing events and opportunities. The Hobart branch of the FAW issues a newsletter every two months also detailing activities and opportunities and competitions throughout Australia.

On this website you will find a number of interesting links to help you in your quest for information. Also included on the site is a brief biography of the current members which you will find is a diverse group. Member’s publications are highlighted and some of these can be purchased. Each month the “NEWS” section of the site will be updated. Information on current events, competitions, details of member’s publications and any new projects will be detailed.
